Regret

Somebody very close to me once said, "You should never regret anything that once made you smile." But I wonder...once made me smile for a second, a week, months, years??? There are things we have done in life that did make us smile for that second, that night, but I'm not smiling now & not sure if it's something I should regret or not...

We all do things in life that we regret. "Can we forget about the things I said when I was drunk? I didn't mean to call you that. Please tell me why..." All I can say is I'm sorry? Question Mark? Seriously? There are so many things I wonder if I should regret them or not.

#1. I definitely don't regret that, but I regret the choice I made in the end.

#2. I don't regret the chance I gave, but I regret the way I treated it.

#3. I don't regret seeing old friends, but I regret the things I said or the actions I did.

#4. I don't regret speaking my mind, but I do regret hurting others' feelings because of it.

#5. I don't regret have a blast in college, but I do regret not focusing on one thing.

#6. I don't regret the things I said when my feelings were hurt by one, but am I going to regret wanting to go back?

One of my best friends once told me that my smile was contagious. I genuinely am a happy person. My smile is sincere. People do make me laugh, but I also make myself laugh. :) Don't take my smile away...don't make me regret knowing you. Just embrace the moment & smile :)

Good Friends & a Glass of Wine

The title says it all...that's all I've needed lately. I've definitly been taking advantage of both! My friend Marcia, I call her Julia, was in town this past weekend. We had so much fun! And this next weekend should be good & busy. That's the key...stay busy!

A few years ago I asked myself if it was a bad thing to take a step back to take a step forward?? I am beginning to wonder that again...it's involving the same person so I'm pretty sure that says something. I'm no longer going to feel confused. Just going to do what I can do.

I didn't go to school yesterday since my friends were still in town, and today school was cancelled because of the weather. So I've been quite lazy, but I'd had LOTS of time to think...I loved how this weekend I could laugh so hard I was crying...

The coming up weekend should be the same...then...IT'S CHRISTMAS!

I still have shopping to do! Can I get a pay day & a nice shopping day puhlease!

Yes, I Am Smart

So the topic has been brought up a few times lately so I just thought I'd blog about it...

A teacher brought a paper to a teacher that I teach with to edit. Jokingly the one I teach with said, "Do you want Angela to edit it too? Believe it or not she's pretty smart." Me & this teacher are very close so I know she was totally joking. I mean she was the one who was a part of hiring me so she saw my resume, heard me interview, and could tell I was very smart. Well that other teacher didn't think that was too funny...I guess she doesn't believe it?

Anyway...it's kinda true...I mean just because I'm a ton of fun to be around doesn't mean I'm not smart. So since this is my blog I'll go ahead and boast :) I was on the President's and Dean's list in college. I graduated Cum Laude. I have 2 certifications. I was not only smart I was involved. I was in Chi Omega. I was the Historian for an honor fraternity, and the Public Relations chair for another organization. Along with just being involved in other organizations.

I'm also a pretty good writer. I enjoy blogging because there are so many things I want to say, and to be heard, but I wonder if it's inappropriate or the right time? I have a 4 page letter I've been adding on to since somebody who once said they loved me broke my heart...So being a good writer in college...again I was pretty smart.

Ok I'm done proving that I am smart, but just another example...so I was sitting at the Country Club last week waiting on some friends when some guys started talking to them. One of whom may be an interest in my eye ;) The other...eh not so much. The other was the one who asked me if I was smart. Did he think by looking at me that I wasn't? Or did he know by talking to me that I was? Anyway...I showed him!

Ok so I don't feel like writing anymore even though there's more I could say. I'll get back soon! The pic is of me & my big brother outside the Texas Tech seal after my graduation :) Sure it was 2 years ago this weekend, but hey! I'm still proud :)
