One thing I don't like is when people say obviously...I thought of this yesterday when I said it!
My case was a little different than what I don't like...I was expressing my passion towards education, and how it's such a long, tedious process when you try to get a kid help. I explained how a child I deeply cared for was in "obvious" need of help. It was "obvious" that what was determined to help her A YEAR AGO wasn't helping!
Anyway...so that got me thinking about college when it used to be the "cool thing" to say obviously when somebody was being a smart ass. **Side Note** I am SUPER gullible so when B Schmidt was being a smart ass, and I believed him, then he said he was kidding, I said: "Hi Smart Ass. My name's Gullible."
So in a sentence they would say well "obviously" blah blah blah blah blah. Or I'd ask a question & they'd answer..."obviously." I always thought if it's SO "obvious" then why are you telling me, and if it's SO "obvious" then why would I ask you?!
I can be a quite sarcastic person, have quite a sense of humor, and because I am cut from the same cloth as my dad...yes I can be a smart ass. I love my dad. :)
So there's my little soap box...OBVIOUSLY!
