"Try again later!" Sadi by the super cool dude with the radical voice. He is the voice you hear when playing my favorite game, Mall Madness. I love to shop, and get the experience while playing thi sgame without actually spending my money. The only bummer is I don't get to keep the things I buy, let alone even see or touch them. I must settle with cardboard pictures, and the option to only buy 1 thing in each store.
Mall Madness is almost like shopping in real life. What's the very first thing you need to do when going shopping? Get in your car, and get there of course! 1, 2, 3, Go! Push the button & follow directions...A, B, C, Go! Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Go! Your player must move out of the parking lot and into the mall. Once you're in the mall, the fun begins! The dice is continually used to get from store to store and do your shopping. Just like in "real" life, I never buy anything full priced. This game tells you which stores have sales & clearances. How great is that?!
Each player has a shopping card as items are bought. How do you buy the items? Swipe your bank card in the credit card machine, of course! The cashier will let you know if the item is "Out of stock" and perhaps you should "Try Again Later!" One of my favorite parts is the fact that when you run out of money you get to simply go to the bank & get more.
P.S. If you read my Title & Sub Title this is a blog about being a teacher. One thing I promise my students is if I ask them to write then I will be writing. Sometimes I will write on their topic which in this case I did (unfinished) ;) other times I'll write whatever I feel...Pretty soon I'll have 3rd graders blogging/publishing their writings too!
